Healing Trauma to Unlock Your Manifestations Through the 7th House

Updated: Oct 7, 2025

What happens when your trauma gets in the way of your manifestations? Trust me, it will happen!

If you aren't aware of your subconscious wounds, you will find yourself encountering the same situations or types of people over and over and over again, until you heal those wounds and show up in a different way.

By reacting differently to a similar situation, you break that cycle and can move on to the next step in your healing and manifestation journey.

Or as Denzel says:

Smiling man in black suit with microphone. Quote beside him reads "To get something you never had, you must do something you've never done."

But how can you do differently if you aren't even aware of what is tripping you up?

That is where understanding your astro chart helps. The 7th house is what is considered your "shadow" side. It sits directly opposite your first house or the ascendant, which is the sign that expresses how you show up publicly. It represents the part of your personality that is on display when you meet someone new.

The 7th house, however, represents partnerships and the kinds of people you usually attract. Like magnets, your 1st and 7th houses are opposites. However, we are all a combination of duality: light and dark, feminine and masculine, positive and negative. So, while the 7th house represents people you are likely to attract, it really represents the part of YOU that you express less readily. The cusp of the 7th house can help reveal some of the challenges you might be facing in your healing journey. Here is a video that explains what your shadow side represents.

My 7th house is in the sign of Aquarius, which is the sign that is ruled by Uranus, that quirky, think-outside-the-box renegade who isn't afraid to shake things up. (Check out my post on the Uranus opposition!)

This is the humanitarian sign that is always looking for ways to help the collective. It is the rebel, the outcast, the one who marches to the beat of their own drums, so to speak. Aquarians are often very cerebral, processing their feelings logically, rather than embodying them. They are often described as Silicon-Valley-types (logical, aloof, even slightly or very autistic).

Knowing the characteristics of Aquarius, I can easily identify that one of my struggles is that I am a chronic OVER-thinker. I like to analyze things, rehash them, strategize, and plan. However, when you are manifesting, a big part of the process is DETATCHMENT--letting it go, and trusting that the Universe will work things out. It's not YOUR job to plan the hows and whens, but to let the Universe do the work for you. When you try to plan or overthink how things are going to go, you will delay or even block your manifestation completely. (Ask me how I know this!) I have to train myself nearly everyday to let my heart lead me, rather than my head, which is the seat of one's ego. (But that is the subject for another post.)

By being aware that I might be subconsciously influenced by those Aquarian tendencies, I am able to focus on affirmations and actions that create a better, and healthier balance for me, and allow me to open myself up to the blessings that I have called in from my highest timeline.

Take a look at the sign on your 7th house. Look up the different characteristics. These are amazing qualities that are part of YOU! It may be time to flex those 7th house muscles a bit more, or recognize when the overextensions of those qualities are showing up in your life without your permission.

Remember, there is nothing wrong or bad about you. Even things you might see as negative are just overextensions of good qualities and strengths you can utilize to manifest the life you truly want to live.
