Lilith in Your Natal Chart — Meaning, Houses & Shadow Power

One of my main divine feminine spirit guides is Lilith, the first wife of Adam.  She is very much like Vashti in her refusal to submit sexually to her husband.  Where Lilith shows up in your natal chart is the place where you will channel righteous anger at an injustice done to you or break free from the structures that keep you bound.

Lilith is a dark divine feminine, representing your shadow side, or the parts of you that have been repressed because of shame or guilt.  It’s the energy that seems to be unleashed with the Uranus opposition (around the 40-year mark) for women, especially, who go from trying to conform to societal expectations to just not giving a f%$@.  (I loved entering my 40s for that very reason.)

This energy is raw and empowering but frightening to those who aren’t used to rocking the boat or demanding better for themselves.  While Lilith fights for others, the energy she provides for me, at least, is that courage and inner strength to stand up to bullies, manipulators, or anyone else who is trying to make me feel small to make themselves feel bigger or more important.

Lilith is the embodiment of the bad bish.

And if you are on a spiritual journey, Lilith is likely to show up in moments of big upheavals involving an abuse of power or destruction in your life, like divorces or breakups, domestic violence, or sexual abuse.

For me she is found in my 3^rd house, the house of communication and local communities, schools, or siblings, cousins, and short trips.  This is the traditional house of Gemini, the house the rules communication. Speaking up about injustice happening in my local community.  Hmmm…that seems fitting.

When I learned about Lilith (and Uatchet, who is also a member of my team in charge of justice and protection), I called on their help to exact the justice I am due for the abuses I have endured.  Lilith is an ever-present inspiration for these articles, in particular.

If you are the victim of domestic violence, it might be worthwhile to call on Lilith not only for healing, but also for channeling the very raw and justified anger you feel at your abuser(s).  For a long time, I struggled with wanting to see my ex punished for what he did to me.  And that desire was a burden to me.  It weighed me down and kept me in a lower vibration.

Outsourcing the karma and retribution to my spirit team was a much healthier alternative!  In those moments when I am feeling particularly raw or salty, I will call on Lilith and Uatchet (traditionally spelled Wadjet, but she prefers the former spelling), and I know they are making their justice known in the lives of all the people who have been abusive directly or enabled my abuser to continue to serve in his current capacity without restriction.

Lilith makes her presence known to me as a bat, though she does also manifest as crows, for others.  HOWEVER…she is NOT to be confused with another dark divine feminine, The Morrigan, revered among women in esoteric/Wiccan circles.

I cannot say this enough: The Morrigan is a leader of demons and is not a benign dark divine.  She is evil.  Do not evoke her name or spirit unless you want to unleash very bad things.  In fact, she is associated with my ex and his harm.  Given the spiritual explanation of narcissism as demonic possession, it makes sense.  And my own team, Durga, especially, works round-the-clock to protect me from The Morrigan, who shows up as a murder of crows (5+).  No bueno.
