How to Recognize Spiritual Awakening Signs and Connect with Your Guides

Going through a spiritual awakening be like:

A spiritual awakening doesn’t require a leather jacket or fancy dance moves, like in the movie, Grease, but if done right will cause major transformation, as it does ask you to take everything you think you know about faith or religion and toss it (at least temporarily) out the window!  That’s because the Universe isn’t constrained by the rules and expectations of modern religious constructs.  (That’s not to say that there isn’t anything of value in religion or religious communities, but if you are focused on the “shoulds” and “oughts” of your upbringing, you could actually miss something the Universe is trying to tell you.)

That is to say, the Universe can and will speak to you, but it is often in ways that seem unconventional, but come to make good sense, when you get used to it.

And when it comes to spiritual powers, this is when neurodivergence comes in handy! 

That was one of the first ways I realized the Universe was communicating with me--repeating numbers, animals, and words or names.  I am a naturally curious person, so when I’d notice these things, I googled it!  Not everything I found online was helpful, but my intuition was good at clueing me into the info that was more important for me.

That’s also key—you can see all sorts of information, but you have to tune into your own center or higher self to decide what information is valid for you.  And don’t worry if it doesn’t make sense…it’s more of a “the more you do it, the easier it gets” kind of process.

But you don’t have to wait for signs to pop up.  You can ask the Universe to send you a sign…about anything!  You need help making a decision about something, call on your spirit guides to get involved.  (This part is crucial—you must invoke your guides’ help or they will just watch and wait, but aren’t able to jump in until you invite them to.)  If it’s time sensitive, ask them to show you that day, that week, within a month, etc., or let the sign be for longer.

I typically pick an animal, or something related to the query or support I need, so I will notice (or remember it) better.  I think my very first ever video was about me asking my guides to send me a badger sign to let me know I was going to be okay. To me, badgers are fierce but resilient.  They don’t back down from a fight.  It’s especially fitting, given that my Hogwarts House is Hufflepuff. (RIP Cedric Diggory.)

Just be aware that the sign might come in a different format than you are expecting.  If you are looking for a hummingbird, for instance, it might not show up as an image, but as the title of a song that has just the right lyrics for you.  Be open to the different ways spirit is communicating with you.

Here is an affirmation you can use, if you feel like you need to know the “right words” to say.  (These are effective, but your own way of speaking is just as good, so long as you understand the messages coming your way!)

Ask and it shall be given unto you...

Universe, I know you are listening, show me a sign [of _________]; make it so clear I cannot miss it.  Show me a miracle today.

The above is also a good one to try if you are skeptical and just want to see if any of this works.  Trust me, it does!
